In the midst of the scandal due to the leak of some photos where Ángela Aguilar and Gussy Lau are very affectionate and confirmed their courtship, Majo, her cousin, defended her and assured that age is something irrelevant in love relationships.
During a break from the recordings of Music Battles Mexico, where Majo Aguilar is one of the judges, she had a small press meeting and took the opportunity to speak well about Pepe Aguilar's youngest daughter and her 15-year-old boyfriend.
“I put a message, besides we wrote each other, but I put a message on Instagram that I think you absolutely don't have to apologize for anything. She is a smart, intelligent woman, what a bad vibe that they did things like that”, began her message Majo.
He said that he reproves the way Angela was harassed on networks, the hateful comments, as well as the leak of photos that neither the singer nor her boyfriend wanted to come to light.
He also said that Gussy Lau is being “demonized” for how many years is Angela older, and without knowing the story behind her courtship.
He also stressed again that the performer of Ahí Donde Me Ven does not have to apologize, because she would only be living her love story with the composer. In addition, he assured that he will always receive support from him.
“You don't have to apologize for anything, you did absolutely nothing wrong (...) She's always gonna have my support, no hate. Let everyone do what they want with whomever they want, please,” said the daughter of Antonio Aguilar Jr.
Finally, Majo was questioned by reporters about the age difference between her and her boyfriend, Gil Cerezo, and whether her cousin asked her for any advice. At the end of 2021, it transpired that Pepe Aguilar's niece made public her relationship with Cerezo, a member of Kinky and who is older for the young woman by 16 years.
The singer assured that Angela did not ask her, but she wouldn't have to, since she is a confident woman who will know whether or not to talk about her relationship with Lau.
She reaffirmed her support for the interpreter of Tell Me How You Want and that, for her, age has no importance in love relationships, because she said: “I support her in whatever she decides, and yes, for me that issue of age is very irrelevant.”
Majo's comments come after Gussy Lau's photos with Ángela Aguilar were leaked and he confirmed that they were having an affair, the singer posted a video in which she confessed to being violated by the invasion of her privacy.
She also mentioned that everything would have been her mistake and revealed that the dissemination of the images affected her economically and emotionally.
