Citlalli Hernández asked to rejoin the Senate to debate AMLO's Mining Bill

Citlalli Hernández announced that she could return to her post as Senator, representative of Mexico City, as she is currently licensed for time indefinite to perform other functions within their party.

Through his official Twitter profile, he announced his request to rejoin the Mexican Senate. Its objective, he said, is “to participate in the debate on Energy Sovereignty and the defense of our Lithium”

“As a militant it has always been one of the battles I have participated in,” added who until now plays the role of Secretary General of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena).

He also assured that through his duties as Morena's representative in the Senate, he will be given the task of informing citizens about the aforementioned reform bill, as well as contributing to winning the upcoming interim elections, where various states will fight.

Among her followers there was a great acceptance of the news, there are even those who perceive her as a strong candidate to replace Senator Ricardo Monreal from Morena, and president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo).

“You have all our support”; “Very successful Citlalli and all the support”; “Excellent and don't let MONREAL get away with it”; “To triumph in the battle for lithium!” ; “Welcome back to your house, house of the people” and “Just yesterday I said I missed you in the Senate” were some of the most prominent responses on their social networks.

It was in September 2020, when he sought to fight for the General Secretariat of his party, in a duet with Mario Delgado, who was then nominated to lead nationally the movement founded by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. His formula was the winner over that of Porfirio Muñoz Ledo.

“Faced with the current morena crisis, it is necessary to recover its essence as a party-movement and not allow the mystique with which it has been built to be lost,” said Mexican politics.

He then made a specific appeal to all those who were looking for the same positions, with the aim of separating themselves from the positions they held and enjoying a fair selection process.

The decision was announced through the Senate communication system. On September 14, 2020, both Senator Citlalli Hernández Mora and Senator Félix Salgado Macedonio, who sought the governor of Guerrero, were licensed.

During the announcement, Senator Ricardo Monreal gave special recognition to Citlalli's work in Congress, whom he described as “capable and outstanding for her ability, as well as a social fighter who seeks to venture into partisan politics.”

“The Senate loses a distinguished politician and its party will gain a good leader if it is elected to such office,” she said during the session during which the announcement was made.
