(ATR) The French airline company has become an official supplier of the 2024 Olympic bid.
A selection of Air France planes will display the Paris 2024 logo on 10,000 flights during the campaign, which culminates with the IOC's host city vote in September 2017. Budapest, Los Angeles and Rome are the other contenders.
Air France will also run a marketing campaign to "endorse the values and culture of French sport" and the bid will be promoted in in-flight magazines and in airport lounges worldwide.
"Air France is also a global company that conveys the image of France with its international outlook, aspirational values and first-class expertise in business," said Paris 2024 co-chairman Bernard Lapasset.
"As our bid continues to gather momentum we continue to draw inspiration from the support we are receiving from the French public and businesses across the country. "
Air France CEO Frédéric Gagey said: "We feel the principles of the Paris 2024 bid mirror our own aspirational values and we are looking forward to promoting the bid through our international network and global hubs."
During the Paris 2024 campaign, the Air France fleet will display the bid logo on various flights including long-haul Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 flights to Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania and medium-haul A320 Airbus flights to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Air France currently has 12 top sponsors and is on course to reach the overall sponsorship revenue target of $33 million.
