It is important to remind all of you that Mr. Kim is a disgruntled employee of AIBA, whose

intent to destabilize our International Federation and the sport of boxing in general just a few

days before the Extraordinary Congress scheduled on December 20, 2016 after having fed

the International media with his accusations is too obvious. If Mr. Kim really cared about the

improvement of our sport and truly believed that his declarations are well-founded, he would

have acted earlier and in a different manner. However, he is engaged —with the help of his

accomplices— in a personal crusade against AIBA President Dr. Wu and he does not care if

the interests of our Association and boxing are damaged in the process. Mr. Kim's motives

are strictly personal and triggered by his wounded sense of pride.

You should also know that Mr. Kim is now making totally overblown claims before the Swiss

courts against AIBA. In addition, Mr. Kim violated a court order enjoining him to destroy all

data belonging to AIBA still in his possession and repeatedly lied in writing in the face of the

judge during the legal proceedings. He is exhibiting a full contempt for the concept of truth

and for his obligations towards AIBA but this is an attitude most of you have experienced

when he was in charge of AIBA daily operations.

Most of the allegations now made by Mr. Kim are wrong as he tries to dissimulate his

personal misconducts under groundless accusations. Therefore, AIBA is already preparing

a criminal complaint, which will result in a full-fledged investigation of the facts and of all the

people involved, and which will end up by sanctioning any criminal wrongdoings perpetrated

against our International Federation.

We believe that there is no point in spreading selected allegations and rumors in the media

and we are confident that the criminal authorities will eventually deliver the justice AIBA can

expect to receive.

During these difficult and trying times, it is of paramount importance that we remain united

behind our President Dr Wu and keep focusing on completing the structural reforms decided

by the relevant Commissions after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games to ensure a bright future for

our sport.

Boxing deserves our best effort to enhance its reputation, commit to a transparent

governance staying true to its core values in particular when Mr. Kim’s only objective is to

tarnish the image of our sport, criticize the entire AIBA family and disrespect its

stakeholders.
