Magaly Medina regrets Brunella Torpoco's musical retreat: “She works, she's not stealing from anyone”

This Friday, March 18, Magaly Medina read the official statement by Brunella Torpoco, a Peruvian salsa boat who announced his definitive retirement from the stage due to crime in the streets of Callao. Also, because the singer has been receiving death threats on her doorstep in recent days.

“She is a young woman who has a great voice, a super talent, she sings much better than many celebrities around there,” the ATV host said at first and then read the first lines of the singer's statement, where she reports that the next performances she will make will be the last of her career.

Once she finished reading the document, Medina was sorry for Torpoco's decision, as she considered it unfair that she had to withdraw from music because of the mafias that charge quotas. Let us remember that, in November 2021, Brunella suffered a violent shooting at the door of her house for refusing to pay.

“It is a pity that she is afraid for her family, suddenly she can take care of herself, but she is afraid for her family who continue to live in the neighborhood of Chacaritas. She is working to get them through, to give them a better life, to move them to another neighborhood that is a little quieter, ” commented the 'Magpie. '

Magaly also unleashed his outrage against criminals who are dedicated to asking for places from artists who are just beginning to gain success in the industry. He considered that this crime not only harms rising artists, but also discourages others from fighting for their dreams.

“She is working, this girl is not stealing from anyone, however, these mafia bands ask you for a place so that you can sing and if they see you succeed they ask you for a place because you are succeeding. Tell me why a working woman would have to pay a quota to these criminals. (...) I don't know how they can do this to someone crazy, she's from there, her family is from there (...) We believe that this little girl gave a lot more, her success is about to work, she doesn't owe anything to anyone,” he added.

BRUNELLA TORPOCO: SO SAID GOODBYE

In a lengthy statement she posted to her Instagram account, the interpreter of “I played your role” explained she made the difficult decision to move away from the stage due to an attack on her mother's house while she was on tour in the United States.

“Infinite thanks to all the people who supported me in this short time that I have been on stage. I have made the sad decision to stay away from music for the safety of my family and my peace of mind,” he explained.

On the other hand, Brunella Torpoco indicated that he will fulfill all the presentations he has agreed to date; however, after performing these concerts, he will not return to a stage. She asked that they not contact her again to offer her a job because she will not accept.

“I will only finish with the contracts I already have, I can't look bad with the pending jobs. Don't call me for jobs anymore, please. This time the crime and insecurity that goes through my Callao truncated my dreams,” he added.

He made it clear that he prefers to quit his job before something happens to his family, since in recent weeks they asked him for places so that he can make his presentations with complete peace of mind.

“I prefer to leave everything aside because my family is more important to me than anything in the world, because of them I broke my spine working and thus give them a better life, without harming anyone,” he concluded.
