(ATR) PyeongChang has made its mark on the Olympic world, offering improvements or new things we have not seen at previous Games. For those planning future Olympiads it would be worthwhile to include these innovations:

1. Mobile ticketing – allowing you to buy same day tickets and get delivery on your phone with the ability to enter venues with that QR code – no need to print a ticket as required at London 2012. PyeongChang’s mobile ticketing delivery worked really well.

2. Large screen televisions on venue transport buses. It keeps fans engaged and excited about other events while en route to their own.

3. Wi-Fi on buses and in venues – perfect way for fans to keep in touch and pass the down time.

4. Olympic vending machines. For those who want a souvenir quickly, the Olympic vending machines were the answer to a quick transaction. These machines were so popular they sold out almost daily.

5. Robots to help lost spectators and answer questions. The future is here now - so let’s use it.

6. North Korean cheerleaders unified with South Korean cheerleaders representing a truly united Korea!

7. Upgraded venue entertainment – opera singers and cultural entertainers at the figure skating venue captivated the audience and were a great way for the host country to show off their culture. Bravo! Classy live entertainment was way better than another edition of "kiss" cam video.

8. Super-fast food take out. TOP sponsor McDonald’s has provided two options – eat in the restaurant or get in a separate line for takeout food only. Their lightning fast service for takeout orders, most ready within five minutes or less, has fed fans on the run quickly and efficiently. This is McDonald’s last appearance at the games and it will be hard to replace this type of quick and reliable food service.

9. Toilets for kids! Some restroom stalls had two toilets – a pint sized one for kids and another for adults! Super thoughtful for parents.

10. Tax Refund counter at the Olympic Park to help international visitors get money back. It is a great courtesy to help big spenders get some money back on purchases. They might even spend more knowing this is an available and easy option!
