The global headquarters of the Host Broadcast team that will deliver the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) television broadcast – NEP Australia - will be officially opened at 10:30am on Tuesday 21 June 2016.
NEP Australia will utilise up to 1,200 broadcast and technical operational experts to produce high definition multi-camera television coverage of the 18 GC2018 sports and Opening and Closing ceremonies to rights holding broadcasters during the 4-15 April 2018 event.
The Minister for the Commonwealth Games the Hon. Stirling Hinchliffe MP, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) Chairman Peter Beattie AC, NEP Australia President Soames Treffry and the Seven West Media Event Director for the Rio Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Chief Revenue Officer Kurt Burnette will take part in the official proceedings.
An inspection of a mobile outside broadcast facility will also be available.
