Estas son las más de 200 cintas elegibles para la carrera al Oscar a “Mejor Película”

La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas dio a conocer este jueves 8 de enero la lista de 201 largometrajes de ficción que cumplen con los requisitos de elegibilidad para competir en la 98ª edición de los Premios Oscar.

La ceremonia se celebrará el 15 de marzo en el Beverly Hilton de Los Ángeles. El evento contará nuevamente con la conducción del comediante y presentador Conan O’Brien.

Según informó la Academia, el anuncio de las nominaciones oficiales en las 24 categorías tendrá lugar el próximo 22 de enero, mientras que el período de votación para los nominados se desarrollará entre el 12 y el 16 de enero.

En total, AMPAS precisó que 317 películas son elegibles este año en todas las categorías, una cifra que incluye documentales, largometrajes animados y producciones internacionales, cuyos listados específicos ya habían sido revelados en noviembre.

Para calificar en las categorías generales, incluidas Mejor Película, dirección, actuación y guion, los largometrajes debieron estrenarse durante el 2025 en al menos una sala comercial de alguno de los seis mercados metropolitanos habilitados por la Academia: el condado de Los Ángeles, la ciudad de Nueva York, el Área de la Bahía de San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth o Atlanta.

Además, debieron cumplir una exhibición mínima de siete días consecutivos en el mismo cine y contar con una duración superior a los 40 minutos.

Entre los títulos con mayor visibilidad figuran grandes producciones de estudio como Avatar: Fire and Ash, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Superman, Wicked: For Good, Zootopia 2 y Jurassic World Rebirth.
