Unlimited food and a particular training: Mike Tyson revealed how he would prepare if he returned to the ring

The former heavyweight champion could surprise his fans this year as he did in 2020

Last week Mike Tyson participated in a new episode of Hotboxin, the podcast that he co-hosts and which American music and sports figures pass through. The last guest was UFC champion Israel Adesanya with whom he talked about the plans he has for the future and that have his millions of fans on their feet, who dream of seeing him on the ring once again.

The 55-year-old former boxer last fought in October 2020 in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. Since then, another similar presentation has been speculated and in recent months the name of youtuber Jake Paul seems to have been installed on the main North American and European portals, although a few weeks ago Tyson himself denied that there are negotiations.

Despite this, Iron Mike acknowledged that he is ready to measure himself against any rival: “I would beat those bastards,” he said in reference to the Paul brothers, although he assured that if the fight were organized he would not underestimate them: “I will be in shape”.

American youtuber Jake Paul has ventured into the sport of gloves and has already accumulated five victories, the last of them against the 39-year-old former UFC Tyron Woodley, while his brother, Logan, faced none other than Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight that had no winners or losers, although he did hand out a lot of money.

Regarding his preparation, Tyson explained that he is doing very well physically and that he will not need to change his current way of life too much: “With 30 days of boxing, I could fight with anyone. If I'm boxing every day at the gym, I don't have to worry about my diet. Like what I want,” he revealed. Undoubtedly a particular method, especially for someone 55 years old.

Since his last fight against Roy Jones Jr., Iron Mike had many invitations to fight as the former heavyweight champion of the world generates a huge impact and a significant gain for any opponent, regardless of whether it is an exhibition match. Evander Holyfield (59), Lennox Lewis (55) and others were columned to have a chance with him, but influencer Paul could be chosen for another return to the ring.

“When Jake Paul fights, he takes 75 million people to the box office. No to the arena, to the box office,” said Tyson in dialogue with Israel Adesanya, which is why the former champion seems interested in closing an agreement with the youtuber.

It was precisely on his podcast at the end of March that he joked about that possible clash with the 25-year-old and the money for which he would take up the challenge: “A trillion dollars”, which is equivalent in English to one billion dollars, an amount undoubtedly unpayable. “We need to make some more money, man. He has blue eyes, blond hair, that's expensive,” he said in a braggart tone about Paul. Beyond the jokes, he made it clear that there is no negotiation in this regard.
