Comedians Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza, from the YouTube program 'Hablando Huev*das', are still in the midst of the controversy. This fact comes just a few weeks after they issued some unfortunate statements mocking sexual harassment of a minor. On that occasion, Ricardo Mendoza had to go out to apologize.

Recently, the social media show once again generated collective outrage. It was because of the mockery they had against the Peruvian national team that participated in the Futsal Down World Cup that took place recently in Lima. With the public laughter of the public present and mockery of both Ricardo Mendoza and Jorge Luna, the event was replied with annoyance on social networks.

In this regard, the Down Peru Collective raised its voice of protest “in the face of any kind of mockery and/or discrimination against people with Down syndrome and their families.”

In a statement, the Down Peru Collective (CDP) expressed its “total rejection and indignation at the offensive and discriminatory words expressed in the stand-up comedy show 'Hablando Huevadas', directed by Jorge Luna and Ricardo Mendoza.”

They point out that these phrases are aimed at public mockery and taking advantage of it in the face of the so-called black humor.

“Discrimination, intolerance and prejudice have the characteristics of a crime provided for in our legislation (Law 29973), they constitute unacceptable practices that must be denounced, investigated and combated for the good of society as a whole,” they say in the statement.

In this way, the collective, which represents people with Down syndrome in the country, raised its voice of protest at the events and asks the competent bodies to take appropriate action in the face of any type of discrimination. “We cannot allow aggression and/or mockery at the effort and sacrifice of families committed to the continuous improvement of their relatives with Down syndrome, throwing away everything achieved so far,” they say.

BACKGROUND

Let us remember that last February, the Public Ministry opened an investigation against citizens Ricardo Gabriel Mendoza Castillo and Norka Anahí Gaspar Ríos for contravention of the rights of children and adolescents.

The investigation is being carried out by the Tenth Provincial Family Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Rita Ajalcriña Cabezudo.

“The opening of this investigation was arranged after it became known that these people, who lead a program broadcast on the YouTube platform, had made mockery and obscene comments referring to a case of sexual violence in aggrieved against a minor,” reported the Public Ministry.

The facts reported would have criminal relevance, warned the prosecutor's office in charge of the case, so they have been brought to the attention of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Violence against Women and the members of the Family Group on Duty in Lima.

“These kinds of comments on a subject of gender-based violence and street sexual harassment, such as the one mentioned above, violate the right to honor, dignity and social security of minors,” the prosecutor's office said in a press release.

They also violate a standard of living adequate for the physical, mental, moral and social development of minors, and against the development of their personality, respect for human rights, peace, tolerance and equality, among others.
