Last Saturday, April 2, Los Angeles Azules performed with Noelia at the Caliente Stadium in Tijuana. The show is giving a lot to talk about because Candela's interpreter accused the renowned group of sabotaging its performance after having experienced several technical failures.
Through her Instagram account Noelia expressed her annoyance and said that despite the “chin***” that the Los Angeles Azules produced, they managed to make the concert afloat thanks to the love of the audience and their work team.
The singer said she was hired to increase the capacity of the concert since Los Angeles Azules barely sold six thousand tickets. According to him, during the show there were terrible failures that could cause serious damage to him because the monitors were not working properly, as well as the light was too strong and did not allow him to see where he was walking.
Noelia and Los Angeles Azules had not worked together before, but there are rumors from some media that say that the boycott could happen because Elias Mejía's daughter alias “The Doctor” was going to run instead of her.
The singer said that she has a very hurt knee after trying to avoid one of the falls she had on stage and an hour ago she posted on her Instagram account another message for Los Angeles Azules in which she mentions that attacking a woman's work activities is also gender-based violence.
This is not the first time that Noelia has released this type of message as she recently published a newspaper story in her Instagram stories accusing this group of normalizing pedophilia and misogyny in their songs. “I am an advocate for victims of abuse and misogyny. Let's stop ignoring these musical normalizers of such serious crimes.” This post was deleted shortly after.
The Los Angeles Azules group had already been linked to a controversy of misogyny, because a few months ago social media users began to criticize the 17-year-old song and requested that the group be cancelled for encouraging paedophilia and normalizing the relationship of an adult with a minor.
Jorge Mejía, who is the band's composer, explained in an interview that the song is aimed at love and that beyond addressing the relationship of an adult with a minor, it is to express what a 17-year-old girl experiences when she falls in love for the first time. He also added that the song became popular thanks to young people since in its time it had no promotion on its release.
Noelia asserted that the concert was lifted thanks to her because it went from having six thousand people to eighteen thousand. He added that he feels good and will continue to move forward, as well as thanked his followers and his team through an Instagram video for what he experienced at the Tijuana concert; in the comments of the publication he received a lot of support from his fans.
