Pedro Gallese revealed that Jefferson Farfan did not live up to his promise to draw a car after the Peruvian national team's victory against Colombia in Barranquilla for the 15th date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
After Peru's 1-0 victory against Colombia, Jefferson Farfan's promise to the Peruvian team squad was known, if they won as a visitor. The 'Foquita' offered to raffle a car if the goal was achieved.
The anecdote of the draw became known after the players of the Peruvian national team in the changing rooms of the Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez stadium. André Carrillo said “The 'Seal' promised to raffle a car. I'm going to buy three raffles” and witnesses Luis Advíncula, Miguel Araujo and Aldo Corzo confirmed the information.
Jefferson Farfan responded to André Carrillo's live connection via Instagram through a story on the same social network: “I will keep my promise (André Carrillo). Thank you band for that joy. I love them.” quoted the 'Foquita'.

Regarding the promise of Jefferson Farfan and his fulfillment of the draw for the car, Peruvian national team goalkeeper Pedro Gallese was consulted in statements to Gol Perú.
“He didn't draw it, but he told me that if we qualified for the World Cup, he was going to give me a car. I don't know if he said it in jest or not. But, I'm going to claim that car,” Pedro Gallese replied. And at the insistence on the draw, the goalkeeper abounded: “He didn't draw it. I would have to give two cars, I imagine.”
On the other hand, the Peruvian national team beat Venezuela in Caracas for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers with goals from Gianluca Lapadula and Christian Cueva. In that duel Pedro Gallese was a figure and allowed the victory of the bicolor by taking a penalty against Venezuelan Darwin Machís in the 69′ minutes when the match was in favor of the white-red 2-1.
Precisely, the Peruvian defender Miguel Trauco was the one who committed the foul that caused the penalty and goalkeeper Pedro Gallese reported that the winger gave him a gift for his save. “Yes, Trauco came up to me and told me that he had a surprise for me for the next date. And (he turned) by the other date he gave me a gift, just like Jefferson Farfan who also gave me another gift, he told me 'this is for you because of everything you gave us this date'”.
At another time, goalkeeper Pedro Gallese referred to the match for the World Cup repechage towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. “Happy with what has been achieved, not yet satisfied. 90 minutes to go, we know about that. Each teammate is going to train a lot these months and we will surely get to the matches as usual, giving everything. Always demonstrating the good football that characterizes Peru and now more orderly than ever,” he said.
