In the morning, Guillermo Bermejo commented on the IACHR's request in which he said that Alberto Fujimori's release should be stopped. As you remember, his departure would have been scheduled for this Thursday.

Given this, the congressman of Democratic Peru, said that keeping the former president in prison is a peace of mind for all families, victims of “Barrios Altos” and “Cantuta”.

“The suspension of Fujimori's release is a peace of mind for all the victims and for those of us who love how Fujimori's trial and extradition process took place, which was impeccable, to which we cannot point out a glimpse of political persecution that he did in his time. This is to be congratulated by the Court,” said the parliamentarian.

The legislator remarked that Fujimori “is a person convicted of human rights violations and corruption and has in the queue a series of trials that, to his fate, have to go through extradition from Chile.”

“If we make Alberto Fujimori's crime list it goes up to drug trafficking. When they pulled cocaine on the presidential plane, when Navy ships were dealing cocaine, when Vladimiro Montesinos was senior adviser and charged drug traffickers quotas. We want there to be high penalties for those who steal a cell phone or kill for minimal amounts, and for criminals of this size we play crazy? Shall we look the other way? That seems immoral to me. The lord must pay his political, judicial debts. Poor thing is not”, said the parliamentarian.

WHAT DID THE IACHR SAY ABOUT THE RELEASE OF ALBERTO FUJIMORI?

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights (Inter-American Court of Human Rights) ordered the Peruvian State to refrain from executing the decision of the Constitutional Court (TC) and not to release Alberto Fujimori, who was about to leave Barnadillo prison, where he has been serving his 25-year sentence for the Barrios Altos and La Cantuta case.

“The plenary session of the Inter-American Court, today decided to adopt a decision requiring the Peruvian State 'to guarantee the right of access to justice for the victims of the Barrios Altos and La Cantuta cases' to refrain from executing the decision of the Constitutional Court ordering the release of Alberto Fujimori Fujimori. As she indicated, the full decision will be notified in the coming days”, the statement reads.

The Court's decision was also sent by mail to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights not to carry out the humanitarian pardon on behalf of the former president.

GUILLERMO BERMEJO DENOUNCED NORMA YARROW TO THE ETHICS COMMITTEE

Last Wednesday Guillermo Bermejo denounced Congresswoman Norma Yarrow for defamation to the Ethics Committee, after the parliamentarian made use of news false to criticize him.

On behalf of all those who were 'earthed' by the DBA (brute and horada right), I file a complaint with the Congressional Ethics Committee against Congresswoman Yarrow for defamation,” Bermejo Rojas wrote on his Twitter account.

In view of this, Bermejo issued a document addressed to the president of the Ethics Committee, Karol Paredes (Popular Action), where he argued that under article 27 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliamentary Ethics Committee he can request this request.

He also explained that Yarrow Lumbreras violated Articles 2 and 6 of the Congressional Code of Ethics. “As well as articles 4, literal e), f), h), k), 5 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure of the Committee on Parliamentary Ethics, he added.
