Once again, the Institute of the National Fund for Workers Housing (Infonavit) launched a recommendation for those entitled who have already settled their home credit, but who continue to charge them.

Through his social networks he assured that in the event that the financing has been settled, but the discounts followed, then he will have to carry out the procedure of the so-called return of excess payments.

In this way, any monthly payments that have been paid extra will have to be reimbursed. However, a number of requirements will have to be taken into account, and we will detail what they are below.

What are the requirements?

*Have settled the credit.

* That the rightful holders give their employer the notice of suspension of discounts.

* Have some documents such as: e.valid signature; go to the SAT and provide the file of the key and password.

How to request the return of overpayments?

*The interested party must enter My Infonavit Account.

*Follow the steps requested and have at hand a key account where the resources are deposited.

And speaking of payments to Infonavit, how long does the bank initiate legal proceedings if it does not make its contributions? This is another question that could make a citizen uneasy, so it will be necessary to clarify that point.

According to financial specialists, a person may enter into legal proceedings, after 91 days of stopping paying, that is, at the end of the 3 months without paying or making payment for whatever circumstance.

However, payment will first be required to the beneficiary and usually give an extension or reach a payment agreement, but if it reaches six months and remains in the same circumstances, then you may run the risk of losing the property.

It should be remembered that in case of becoming unemployed, Infonavit has some supports or ways to restructure its credit.

One of them is through the Flexipago scheme, a benefit granted to citizens who do not have a job.

Therefore, Infonavit provides assistance to citizens through three options, in addition to being able to select an option on a monthly basis to stabilize their credit situation and keep up to date so as not to lose their assets.

Although there are some ways to provide assistance to beneficiaries, it will be necessary to remember that applicants will have to take into account some requirements, such as: not having processed other support in the last five years; having at least six months after the credit was purchased and having at least one month unemployed.

For any questions or clarifications, the interested party should make a telephone call to Infonatel (55 9171 5050) in Mexico City, as well as 800 008 3900 from anywhere in the country

In the meantime, it must be remembered that if you want to get a credit, the first thing an employee should know is that it will vary according to age and salary.
