
(ATR) TheSports Performance Data and Fan EngagementSummit takes place in London on May 22 and 23.
It will bring together over 450 professionals to explore both current and future trends in the role of analytics in the global sports industry. It will focus not only on optimizing sport performance, but also how advanced data can study fan engagement with a sport or brand.
Speakers will discuss how analytics drive digital content and advertising in order to generate more revenue and build a successful brand.
Topics include how analytics impacted the preparations for Rio 2016, the immediate collection of data through wearable technology, and designing digital content for the next generation of fans.
The Sports Innovation Network organized the summit as part of its third annual Sports Performance and Fan Engagement Series, following a summit in San Francisco in January.
Host City Asia
With three Olympic Games taking place in Asia over the next six years, Asia is fast emerging as the world’s largest event market. China alone is investing $850 billion in sports by 2025 and Asian cities are looking for global partners to develop their entertainment and cultural sectors.
Host City Asia is the region’s only conference for the owners, organizers, hosts, sponsors and suppliers of major events that revolve around the theme"Attracting New Audiences Through Sports and Entertainment Events".
Host City Asia takes place in the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing on May 31.

Smart Cities and Sport Summit
The fifth edition of the Smart Cities and Sport Summit will take place from October 29-31 in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital.

FIBA World Basketball Summit
The first-ever FIBA World Basketball Summit, a gathering of stakeholders from across the globe setting out to build the sport's future, will take place in Xi'an, China, on October 3-4.
The two-day event will bring together a wide range of high-ranking personalities in world basketball - from top level officials and management personnel in federations, clubs and leagues, to business leaders and heads of corporations across areas such as media and technology, brands and corporate social responsibility.
This is the first individual sport summit of its kind and marks a significant milestone in the history of basketball's development, reflecting both the global popularity and maturity of the game.
