The Champions of the day are: MAMMADLI Elnur (Azerbaijan), DECOSSE Lucie (France), NISHIYAMA Masashi (Japan), AGUIAR Mayara (Brazil), RAKOV Maxim (Kazakhstan), QIN Qian (China) and SILVA Rafael (Brazil).

The Gold medalist of the World Master Almaty 2012, at Men's -81 kg. Category is MAMMADLI Elnur from Azerbaijan. The first final of the day was a very spectacular one, with beautiful techniques. In the end, the Olympic Champion, MAMMADLI Elnur (Azerbaijan), won by ippon in 2.25 minute (hip technique / koshi-waza), against NAKAI Takahiro (Japan) the number 5 on the IJF World Ranking List (WRL).
In the first semifinal, the Olympic Champion, MAMMADLI Elnur (Azerbaijan), the number 3 on the IJF WRL won against the Bronze medalist at the last World Champioships, BURTON Euan (Great Britain), the number 14 on the IJF WRL. In the second semifinal, the young Japanese judoka, NAKAI Takahiro, the number 5 on the IJF WRL, defeated the European Champion, in the last second of the contest against MAGOMEDOV Sirazhudin (Russia), the number 6 on the IJF WRL.
Semifinals: MAMMADLI Elnur (Azerbaijan) defeated BURTON Euan (Great Britain); NAKAI Takahiro (Japan) won against MAGOMEDOV Sirazhudin (Russia). The bronze medals were won by BURTON Euan (Great Britain) and MAGOMEDOV Sirazhudin (Russia).

The winner of the Gold medal of the World Masters Almaty 2012 at the Women's -70 kg. Category is DECOSSE Lucie (France). The final offered a very interesting contest. The World Champion, DECOSSE Lucie (France) won by ippon (immobilisation / kansetsu-waza) against KUNIHARA Yoriko (Japan), the Bronze medalist at the 2010 World Championships.
In the first semifinal, the World Champion, DECOSSE Lucie, the number 1 on the IJF WRL, won the fight with the young Japanese judoka, TACHIMOTO Haruka, the number 5 on the IJF WRL.
In the other semifinal, the Silver medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games, BOSCH Edith (Nederland), the number 2 on the IJF WRL, injured, did not present.
The number 3 on the IJF WRL, KUNIHARA Yoriko (Japan) qualified for the final.

The champion at Men's -90 kg. Category at the World Master Almaty 2012 is NISHIYAMA Masashi (Japan). A big surprise at this category: the former Olympic Champion, Ilias ILIADIS (Greece) was defeated by the Asian Champion, NISHIYAMA Masashi (Japan). In a very tight final, the number 8 on the IJF WRL, NISHIYAMA Masashi fought against the young Russian judoka VOPROSOV Kiril (Russia). The two athletes tested each other to the maximum. In the last second, NISHIYAMA Masashi won, after a spectacular foot techique (ashi-waza).
In the first semifinal, NISHIYAMA Masashi(Japan) won against the former World Champion, CAMILO Tiago (Brazil).
In the second semifinal, VOPROSOV Kiril(Russia), the number 14 on the IJF WRL, won against the South American Champion, PESSANHA Hugo(Brazil), the number 10 on the IJF WRL.
Semifinals: NISHIYAMA Masashi (Japan) won against CAMILO Tiago (Brazil); VOPROSOV Kiril (Russia) defeated PESSANHA Hugo( Brazil). The bronze medals were won by two Brazilians CAMILO Tiago and PESSANHA Hugo.

The Gold medalist of the World Masters Almaty 2012, at Men's -100 kg. Category is RAKOV Maxim (Kazakhstan). In a close fought final, the public favorite, the former World Champion, RAKOV Maxim (Kazakhstan), arrived at the Golden Score with the Bronze medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games, GROL Henk (Nederland). Finally, Rakov won at hantei.
In the first semifinal, surprise! After a very tight contest, with Golden Score, the World Champion, ANAI Takamasa (Japan), the number 1 on the IJF WRL was defeted, by ippon, by RAKOV Maxim, the number 4 on the IJF WRL with a devastating Okuri-Ashi-Barai.
WRL lost against GROL Henk (Nederland), the number 3 on the IJF WRL. Semifinals: ANAI Takamasa (Japan) lost by ippon against RAKOV Maxim (Kazakhstan); GROL Henk (Nederland) defeated SAMOILOVICH Sergei (Russia).
The bronze medals were won by ANAI Takamasa (Japan) and SAMOILOVICH Sergei (Russia).

In the other semifinal, the Gold medalist at the 2010 World Championships, SUGIMOTO Mika (Japan), the number 2 on the IJF WRL was defeated by the Silver medalist at the last World Championships QIN Qian (China), the number 3 on the IJF WRL.

Finally, SILVA Rafael (Brazil), actual number 6 on the IJF WRL defeated the most experienced judoka, the World Champion the World Champion, KAMIKAWA Daiki(Japan), earning a well-deserved Gold medal at the World Masters Almaty 2012.
In the first semifinal, the Silver medalist at the last World Championships, TOELZER Andreas (Germany), the number 2 on the IJF WRL, was defeated by the young judoka SILVA Rafael (Brazil), actual number 6 on the IJF WRL. In the last semifinal of the day, the Bronze medalist at Paris World Championships, EL SHEHABY Islam (Egypt), who suffered an injury to his knee, and lost the fight against the number 3 on the IJF WRL the World Champion, KAMIKAWA Daiki(Japan).
