(ATR) The ski jumping events at the 2017 Asian Winter Games are taking place from Feb. 22 until Feb. 25.

The normal hill competition was held at the Miyanomori ski jump stadium. The stadium was built specifically to be used as a venue for the 1972 Olympic Winter Games.

Japan had two men on the podium of the ski jumping normal hill event with Yukiya Sato taking gold and Yuken Iwasa winning silver. The bronze medalist was Sergey Tkachenko of Kazakhstan.

The next ski jump event - the large hill competition - will be held on Feb. 24 at the Okurayama stadium.

The 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games will conclude on Feb. 26.
