The IBU Executive Board (EB) today agreed on the updated calendar for the 2021/2022 season with the main change being the reallocation of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon originally scheduled for Minsk-Raubichi, Belarus (3 - 6 March 2022) to Kontiolahti, Finland.

The decision to reallocate the event was taken by the EB in light of the current situation in Belarus and to provide planning certainty for Organising Committees, National Federations and their teams. As a result of the change, Kontiolahti will no longer host the Season Opening on 27-28 November 2021 with Oestersund, Sweden set to take on the responsibility. The World Cup will remain in Oestersund for the second event of the season until 5 December.

The IBU Executive Board had decided to designate the status of the World Cup in Minsk-Raubichi as pending at its previous meeting and announced it would make a decision on whether to confirm or relocate the event over the summer.

The final schedule for the season 2021/2022 including all competition start times can be found here.
