Egan Bernal continues his recovery to the letter and as recommended by the doctors who treat him, after he suffered one of the most severe accidents he has ever had in his sports life. The Cundinamarquis has carried out a process, for many people accelerated, but according to him, under the care and supervision of experts to avoid complications in the present and in the future when he returns to races in Europe.

Although some think that it could happen this season, the return to competitions will be done by Bernal “when he feels in the best state” as he warned him at a press conference held in March along with several media that saw how he cycled with several of his followers through the Zwift platform.

Now while waiting for the best health to happen, Egan and his team of collaborators announce a new project that he called 'EB Project' on social networks and which he also commented on in a post, will give information about what is really about next April 23.

Although apparently it would already be known, or at least there would be a preview of what the project will be, because according to Mundo Ciclistico Magazine, Egan will seek to sponsor the process of the youngest cyclists who want to be at the top of world cycling in the coming years.

According to the article published by the cycling portal, Bernal will support cyclists in the junior, youth and under 23 branches, being in those stages of the sport where great talents are lost the most at the expense of not having the necessary resources or a professional team to guide them in order to be high-level professionals.

Bernal would be making his proposal better known at the Connecta Events Center in Bogotá, to which he added a comment in the social media post:

The leader of the Ineos Grenadiers is expected to recover in the best way so that he can return to the most important rounds of the European cycling calendar where he has already won a lot of triumphs relevant to his team and the country.

For now, what has been said is that perhaps he can try to continue his recovery in some European country, something that the team contemplates, while doing his strengthening exercises and taking advantage of the good feelings to pedal at a moderate pace on the roads around Zipaquirá and Chia, which is where Egan lives.

The return to racing could take place at the end of this season, as they said from the team's coaching staff, but of course, anticipating how the Colombian is progressing in the face of recovering his injuries, because we must remember that there were more than 20 broken bones that found Egan and of which he had to do some surgeries in his spine so he could pedal again.
