Debanhi would have asked for help from a transport company after walking on the road

More than a week after Debanhi Escobar's disappearance, authorities reportedly focused investigations into the case on a freight forwarding company, as this is the last place he was seen entering voluntarily.

At five o'clock in the morning of April 9, the security cameras of a hotel located on the Monterrey-Laredo highway captured the moment when the young woman got out of the taxi due to an application that allegedly took her home.

After getting off halfway down the road, Debanhi was seen crossing to the other side of the road, as she traveled 20 meters to a freight forwarding company, where she entered on her own foot, but was never caught leaving.

The young woman is presumed to have come to the scene for help after her mysterious descent from the taxi by application, but it is not known who she was treated by after she entered the scene.

Because of this, it has transpired that the investigations by the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León (FGE) would focus on the place, since it is the last place where Debanhi was seen.

Although the state authorities have not officially declared this matter, the place could have been the place where the young woman disappeared, since there is only the hotel that captured the young woman and several fifths, which were closed at that time of the morning.

According to journalist Víctor Badillo, between the fifth Debanhi went to attend a party, and the hotel that last captured the 18-year-old girl, there are 18 security cameras, which were checked by the Nuevo León authorities.

Mario Escobar, the girl's father, said he had the opportunity to review 15 recordings captured by the security devices, which gave him the hope of finding her alive, because Debanhi could have been helped.

“I can't make much progress, but with what they showed us we have a lot of faith and a lot of hope that our daughter is alive. I know my daughter is alive, I feel it in my heart. My daughter Debanhi is alive and if she watches this video I want to tell her that we are not going to rest to go for her. We are going to rescue you wherever you are,” said the man.

In addition to the videos captured by surveillance cameras, the investigations were added the statements of a witness who witnessed the events, who went viral through social networks and could help clarify the facts.

Andrea Lugo released her father's version on April 12, who said she saw Debanhi Escobar after her disappearance was made public:

“Hello. Good afternoon. My dad didn't know about the publication until I talked to him. He says he saw her this morning on the peripheral and highway of Laredo, approximately 50 meters from Hotel Periférico. She says she was walking towards Apodaca, she says she was wearing the same dress as the picture and that she was very sure it was her. He saw her at approximately 7:30am,” he said.

The lifeless body of a woman was found in northern Monterrey on the morning of this Sunday, April 17, which is presumed not to correspond to Debanhi Escobar, but to one of the 15 women who disappeared in recent months in the state.
