1. The Plaza de Armas of the main park:
The Plaza de Armas is the first thing you will see when you arrive in Chiclayo, and close to it is the Church of Santa María, whose architecture is neoclassical in style. The church was designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1869, but it was only built in 1928. Unfortunately, five years earlier, the creator of the structure and design of the enclosure had died.

4. National Museum of Sicán:
About 30 minutes from downtown, you will find the National Museum of Sicán and it is undoubtedly an essential stop in Chiclayo.

The most outstanding part of the museum is the recreation of two tombs of nobles with their valuables, such as shells, gold and semi-precious stones.

5. Pyramids of Tucume:
This is the Archaeological Complex of Tucume, also known as Valley of the Pyramids, which is famous for being an example where three pre-Hispanic cultures converge: the Sican, the Chimu and the Inca. It houses 26 adobe pyramids, where luxurious palaces and artifacts were found, which represented myths, rituals and gods.
To get here you must depart from Chiclayo on the buses that go to the Valley of the Pyramids. It's 40 km away to the place.
Cost: the entrance fee is 8 soles and the visit lasts 1 hour.
6. Brujos Market:
This place is very popular in Chiclayo and is located at the end of the Mercado Modelo. What will you find here? Shamanic accessories, herbs, amulets, bones, skins and even animal organs. You will also find San Pedro cacti, which is consumed by shamans for various rituals, due to its hallucinogenic properties. They also provide healing services and ceremonies such as letter reading, palming and “evil eye”. Natural medicine is part of the services they offer.
