One of the most well-known and friendly businessmen in Mexico, without a doubt, is Arturo Elias Ayub, who gained popularity after appearing in several seasons of the reality show show Shark Tank, where she was a panelist alongside other important businessmen in the country, such as Carlos Bremer, director of Grupo Financiero Value; Rodrigo Herrera Aspra, owner of Genomma Lab and Patricia Armendáriz, current Morena MP.
In addition, Arturo Elias Ayub has been married, for 26 years, to Johanna Slim Domit, the youngest daughter of Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helú, owner of important companies such as Grupo Carso, América Móvil and Grupo Sanborns, as well as being, for several years, the person with the most money in Mexico, as his fortune rises, according to the latest listing released by the American financial magazine Forbes, in more than 80 billion dollars.
In addition to this, Elias Ayub is considered a simple and charismatic person, because when he is in front of the cameras, he is carefree and smiling.
Last January, the businessman was hit hard, as the death of his mother, Sylvia Ayub, was reported. This news was released through an obituary published by Fundación Telmex Telcel, in which they wrote “... deeply regrets the sensitive death of Mrs. Sylvia Ayub de Elias. We send our condolences and join in the grief that befalls the Elias Ayub Family, for this irreparable loss. Rest in peace.”
Recently, the businessman was interviewed by journalist Elisa Alanís, where they talked about several topics, including just how the exshark remembered his parents. In the interview, the journalist asks her what her life was like as a family, with her parents and siblings, to which the businessman responds that “my dad and my mom were both guys, each in their own style, but I, in addition to the fact that I loved them madly, I learned them a lot, I learned them to live life, that is the hardest thing to learn, I create Eliza, and live life with joy and enjoy the smallest and simplest things”, explains the businessman, who describes his parents as having been “off the charts”.
The journalist mentions that her mother's thing is very recent, and asks her how she remembers her. Elías Ayub responds that his mother lived an “incredible, very happy life, my boss was a chinampina, she didn't stop for a second. Am I going to see you? No, I'm going to eat with I don't know who. Ma 'am I going to see you? I have dinner with I don't know who, I have a party here, you know? But at the same time she was a lady who was very concerned about others, all her life, for example, she was a volunteer for the Red Cross, all her life, I'm talking about 70 years of her life, I had the great fortune of having my mom 94 years old, which I think anyone would sign it, and well, my heart and soul hurt as you can't imagine, but I'm don't worry because I had a great boss.”
Alanís, later, asks him about what his father was like. “(...) I'm going to tell you something that you won't believe me, I was very young when my dad died, I was 22 years old (...) I was born when my dad turned 50, and my dad died of 72, very young, besides all his life he was in perfect health, suddenly a very fast disease, but my dad, at 22 years old, I never heard him raise his voice, not me or anyone, We all got angry and screamed, didn't we? Well, I've never heard him raise his voice, never in 22 years, that's what my dad was like.”
Arturo mentions that his mother, on the contrary, was the one who scolded him. “(...) Besides, I was terrible at school, then it was a horrible subject, but if my dad said to you: hey, sit down that I want to talk to you, hey, I think you did wrong, just like that, well, the worst scolded in the world, I made you feel in the sky next to her sitting, look you in the eyes and say: hey Arturo, I think you're doing this wrong, because of this, for this, for this”.
He says that when his father made him see his mistakes, he wondered why he had done things wrong if his dad was so right.
