At the start of the decentralized Council of Ministers meeting in Huancayo, Prime Minister Aníbal Torres, made comments praising the management of genocidal Adolf Hitler, in Germany. These were highly criticized on social networks and various media. Therefore, after the recess that took place due to the arrival of President Pedro Castillo, he retracted.

“There is no human being absolutely good or absolutely bad. That if we had given as an example of Germany's progress on the roads of communication, it is a real fact. That is not to say that Adolf Hitler is not considered a great criminal and that all those who supported him were prosecuted, punished, for the very serious crimes they committed,” he said in his speech.

“No one is judged by their good deeds, but by their bad deeds,” he added.

Similarly, the premier referred to a phrase that says that “only God and imbeciles are perfect.” Thus, he referred to the president's recent public apologies to the citizens of Huancayo for statements he made in the past, where it showed that the demonstrators were being paid by the opposition.

“We, human beings, are imperfect, we make mistakes and we apologize for the mistakes made. Our president has done it a thousand times and that is what makes people great, does not make people great by hatred and rancor. No, it makes a person great to know how to recognize their mistakes, to know how to apologize for their mistakes, to overcome themselves so as not to (commit) them again and, as human beings that we are, to understand each other how we are understanding each other,” he said.

“It is logical that there are differences, it is logical that there are contradictions and that is what we want to overcome and that is why we are working,” he said.

It is recalled that Aníbal Torres' statements about Hitler were to praise his public administration, because he “filled Germany with motorways and airports”.

“On one occasion, Adolf Hitler visits northern Italy and Mussolini shows him a motorway built from Milan. Hitler saw that, went to his country and filled it with highways, airports and made it the world's first economic power,” he said.
