Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Monday called on China to “play an important role” in finding a solution to the conflict with Russia.
“We share Beijing's position on the need to find a political solution to the war against Ukraine, and we call on China, as a world power, to play an important role in these efforts,” the minister wrote on his Twitter account.
On Saturday, Ukrainian authorities called on China, Moscow's strategic ally, to join Western countries and “condemn Russian barbarism” in Ukraine.
China has for now refused to condemn the invasion of Ukraine.
