Jerusalem, 20 Mar Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today evoked World War II and the horror of the Holocaust to demand Israel's stronger support for Ukraine and avoid Russia's “final solution”, in a videoconference speech to the Knesset (Israeli Parliament). “Listen to what the Kremlin says, they are the same words, the same terminology that the Nazis used against you. It's a tragedy,” Zelenski, of Jewish origin, appealed to 112 parliamentarians out of 120 members of the Knesset. The Ukrainian president called on Israeli lawmakers to demand stronger action from the Government, such as providing military assistance to Ukraine - including the Iron Dome anti-missile system - and imposing sanctions against Russia, something that Israel has not yet done.
