On March 14, a new police abuse case was announced via Twitter, this time in the town of Bosa, south of Bogotá. A security camera captured the moment during the procedure, when one of the men in uniform identified as a colonel of the agency was hitting a young man who was standing several times in front of a commercial establishment by residents of the sector.

The citizen stayed with two women who were near the night facility. They left the place at the request of the policeman, and it was observed how he hit the victim in the face. However, this was not the only irregular attack.

The camera found that two other men in uniform forcibly removed another young man who was recording the procedure on his cell phone. One approached him from behind and removed him from the scene, but the other threw several blows on the boy's leg.

This police intervention was carried out within the framework of the dry law enacted this weekend by the elections held last Sunday, the 13th.

The complaint was a representative of the House of Representatives Inti Asprilla revealed on his Twitter account that it was the second case of police abuse, which he recently knew in District 7 of Bogotá, and asked if anyone knew of the colonel who attacked the first young man.

UP member Heidy Sánchez also responded to the video through a trill, demanded explanations from the police and warned that “this cannot continue to be an action of the Air Force.”

Police response

According to the details collected by El Espectador, the two young men were not seriously injured. However, they warned against this practice of members of the agency, especially colonels in uniform in the area. In response, the Metropolitan Police issued a statement explaining what happened.
