(Monaco – Atlanta) The World Olympians Association and Around the Rings have formed a ground-breaking partnership to help to promote Olympism, Olympians and the programmes of the WOA and its National Association Members within the Olympic Movement and the wider sporting community.
Since 1992, Around the Rings has established itself as the go-to source for Olympic news, providing valuable insight to the Olympic family. It is considered to be the world’s leading source of news about the Olympics. ATR’s exclusive content is delivered via online, email, print and images. A new app will be launched before the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
As part of the agreement, Around the Rings will feature WOA initiatives, interviews and photo galleries within its editorial content, provide a special online section on its website for WOA material and offer activation support via ATR’s market-leading social media. The WOA also will have a presence in printed Special Edition magazines, published for the Olympic Movement’s most important events, including the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur and the Association of National Olympic Committees’ General Assembly in Washington DC.
On top of the day-to-day collaboration, Around the Rings will be heavily involved in promoting activities at the Olympians Reunion Centre [ORC] in Rio during next year’s Olympic Games, including establishing a dedicated space within the ORC where it will work to promote the WOA and its Members during Games-time.
