After the mascot, the torch and the medals, it was the turn of the podium at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, built with recyclable plastic and with motifs reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower.

Some 68 podiums were made with recycled plastic produced by the company Le Pavé, the organization explained this Thursday. They were designed in modules and will be used for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The front part has motifs that reproduce a “metallic lace” of the Eiffel Tower, as indicated by Tony Estanguet, president of the Organizing Committee. In addition, the Design Director said that the inner part of the three steps is gray “in reference to the zinc of the roofs of Paris”.

The podiums of the Games will have “a second life” after the competition, but their destination has not yet been announced.
