(ATR) The 2017 United States Olympic Committee Olympic and Paralympic Assembly brought athletes and Olympic leaders together to meet and discuss issues and preparations for upcoming Games.

This year's USOC Olympic and Paralympic Assembly was held at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. Beautiful weather and scenery tempted attendees to linger outdoors.

The 2017 assembly featured talks about preparations for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics next February and March and the potential for the U.S. to bid for the 2026 Winter Games. Leaders of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics also attended the assembly, including chairman Casey Wasserman.

One of the highlights of the assembly was the keynote speech of decorated Winter Olympian Apolo Ohno at the final day's awards gala.
