Silvia Pinal, one of the most important actresses in Mexico and matriarch of a talented family of artists, had recently been robbed, especially of jewelry that turned out to be costume jewelry.
In this regard, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJ-CDMX) announced that this crime is already being investigated in the home of the first Mexican actress, and the first suspects fell.
According to the authorities, a man and a woman were arrested, immediately placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the Álvaro Obregon 3 Territorial Research Coordination, where their legal status will be decided.
Authorities pointed them out for their possible involvement in the crime of theft due to employment relationship. Apparently, the costume jewelry was stolen, registered on April 16 inside a home located in the streets of the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood.
The authorities' account also indicated that the data provided place Silvia Pinal's assistant as the one who requested support to arrest a woman, 36 years old, and a 40-year-old man, both of whom were apparently caught near the building.
However, for the time being they continue to integrate the investigation folder, and they are still waiting for “the evidence gathered by experts in photography, criminology and valuation, as well as data obtained by elements of the Investigative Police (PDI) at the scene”.
Those presented are presumed innocent, and will be treated as such at all stages of the proceedings, as indicated by the authorities in their communiqué, until their responsibility is declared by a judgment issued by the court.
Finally, the authorities announced that a multidisciplinary cell of the General Directorate of Victim Care of the General Coordination for the Investigation of Gender Crimes was also presented to the area of the incident, which provided support to the victim.
It was through journalist Carlos Jiménez that the news broke. Also known as @C4jimenez, assured that the allegedly stolen jewels were inside the safe of his home.
However, it was Sylvia Pasquel herself, daughter of Silvia Pinal, who through an audio published by El Chacaleo, said that she went with her mother to a meeting with some friends; however, the nurses warned her that Someone named “Alejandro” called to get the jewels urgently.
Sylvia did not give in to that message, denied everything, and warned them to ignore the call, but they showed her screenshots that a user with a misspelled name, posing as Pasquel, was trying to get hold of the jewelry.
Moments later, she called 911 to warn them that one of the nurses reported that a locksmith was already in the house trying to open the door. The other nurse allegedly grabbed all the available jewelry boxes, albeit with pure costume jewelry according to Pasquel, and took them to a square near the house, but since she had no keys to return, she stayed outside.
To summarize, she said that no one entered the house, the nurse would have taken the alleged jewelry on her own, her mother was not at home, there was no safe that was forced.
