At 11:30 on the night of Wednesday, April 13, the Imbanaco Clinic informed Colombia and the world that footballer Freddy Rincón had died, as a result of the serious condition he was in after the car accident that he was in the ICU for three days. After the death of one of the idols on the Colombian courts, one of his sons, who was accompanying him in the clinic, gave his first words after the painful loss.
Sebastián Rincón, is one of the children of the late athlete, and he told ESPN that his father was always an example of life and sports for him. “For Colombia, an idol was gone, my father, my role model, left me, but I feel like I have one more angel in heaven who is watching over us. We have to be strong and he will guide us on the best path,” he said.
