Licensed Morena Senator Felix Salgado Macedonio proposed the re-election of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).

One day after the Mandate Revocation was held, in which 15 million 159 thousand 323 people (93.45%) voted for López Obrador to finish his term in front of one million 63 209 people who elected to finish his assignment, although it did not reach 40% of citizen participation to make the consultation binding; the Morenista questioned on his Facebook account that if there is already re-election to other positions, why not in the presidency of the Republic.

“There is AMLO for 2024 and more! There is re-election for Senators, federal and local deputies, municipal presidents, trustees and councillors. Could there be re-election for governors and President of the Republic? ”, he wrote.

Last week. Salgado Macedonio uncovered President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for re-election in 2024, the year in which his six-year term ends.

At the end of March, a Guerrero newspaper conducted a survey that placed Felix Salgado as a possible candidate for the presidency.

Although in the poll conducted by the pollster Rubru m, Salgado Macedonio is very far from the favorites to contest for the presidential candidacy, the name of the Guerrero politician appears on the list, although they do not detail whether it would be for Morena, sheltered by another party or as an independent.

But the poll is not much different from others that have circulated on the internet, because in this case, in this case, Marcelo Ebrard, now Secretary of Foreign Affairs, is in the lead, with a score of 30.5 points.

Below is López Obrador's favorite candidate Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo with a total of 20.7 points, and Gerardo Fernández Noroña with a score of 12.5 towards the election.

The list also includes the name of Adán Augusto López, secretary of the interior and former governor of Tabasco, a person very close to AMLO; as well as Ricardo Monreal, the coordinator of the Senators of Morena and leader of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) of the Upper House.

Salgado Macedonio is at the bottom of the table where he has a total of 2.1 percent of the preferences, behind other opponents such as Lazaro Cardenas, Mario Delgado, the party's national president, as well as Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico's foreign minister to the UN; and lastly, MP Yeidckol Polevnsky stands out.

Salgado Macedonio, 63 years old, was born on January 14, 1957. He is originally from the community of Las Querendas, municipality of Pungarabato, in the state of Guerrero.

Felix joined the AMLO movement in 2018, when it won the country's presidency. Before that, he had been off the political scene for a few years, previously serving as a member of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD).

However, his beginnings are far from his current party since, like several of his fellow party members, he started his political career in the ranks of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).

He entered politics in 1987, being part of the “Democratic Current” of the PRI, PARM, PSD and PMS. He then joined the ranks of the National Democratic Front, which is the antecedent movement of the PRD, a party of which he is a founding member.
