This Wednesday, April 6, the Colombian audience saw another 'Salvation Challenge' in 'MasterChef Celebrity Colombia' (2022). In this way, one or two of the famous contestants who are sentenced to go to elimination have a chance to get rid of it, but to do so they must overcome the culinary challenge that corresponds. On this occasion, it was the realization of a three-tiered cake in which the flavor of coffee (main ingredient) stood out, in addition to the filling being on point and also standing out properly between the layers of the pancake.
Although there are 'Salvation Challenges' that are carried out individually, this time it was decided to develop in pairs and, one of these pairs was that of Tatán Mejía (motorcyclist) and Tostao (member of ChocQuibTown). It is worth mentioning that, for reasons of season, the chocoano has always been very flattered, however, his plating skills have fallen short and, anyway, there are participants in 'MasterChef Celebrity Colombia' (2022) with a broader knowledge of gastronomy than him.
For his part, Mejía is one of the contestants who lead the way in the reality television program, on several occasions his culinary preparations have been winners over those of other participants and, in addition, his creativity with the plates is always much applauded, both by the juries - the chefs Jorge Rausch, Nicolás de Zubiría and Chilean Christopher Carpentier — as their peers.
Tatán Mejía has already realized how excited he is to plate and all the concentration and analysis he devotes to this task, as he thinks about the designs of his dishes in particular detail and always excels in this regard. However, for this 'Challenge of salvation', the plating of his cake did not like among some of his companions. For example, Aida Morales (actress) released the comment: “I see plating and form as rare, as deformita”.
For his part, Corozo (troubadour) joked when he posed the question of whether plating had really fallen on Tostao: “I start to look at Tatan's cake and like chocolate became like a mesh there, one thing on top of it, I don't know what happened there or was it that the one who decorated was Tostao?... Could it be that they tied Tatan's hands?”
From what was seen on screen, none of the juries spoke of the plating of Tatán and Tostao's cake, they only focused on the technique of pancake and its flavor. Although, anyway, the couple that managed to be victorious and get rid of the elimination was that of Isabella Santiago (Venezuelan actress) and Carlos Baez (actor).
Thus, those who did not win the victory in this 'Challenge of salvation' will have to fight for their place in the gastronomic reality series during the elimination: Tatán Mejía (motorcyclist), Tostao (singer), Manuela González (actress), Estiwar G (influencer), Aida Morales (actress), Natalia Ramirez (actress), Corozo (troubadour) and Aco Pérez (actor).
