Osorio Serrano and Haddad Maia are a pair of seeds 1 and 2 in the individual mode, but in the doubles tournament the South Americans managed to qualify at the semifinals after beating in two sets 6-7 (7) and 5-7 the duo formed by Russian Amina Anshba and Greek Valentini Grammatikopoulou.

The Russian-Greek duo became strong from the start with several breaks in the serve of the Colombian-Brazilian pair. The Europeans confirmed their winning potential from the next game by forcing a tie-break and in the definition, the North Santander was very attentive to the edge of the mesh to sentence and leave Anshba and Grammatikopoulou without opportunities in the first set.

Already in the second set the match was quite even. Osorio and Haddad managed to break the score in game 11 after a 5-5. They broke and were left with serve for the match, a situation that they did not waste and would consume their second straight victory after eliminating the prevailing champion pair.

In total, the match lasted one hour and 47 minutes and left Osorio and Haddad installed in the best four couples round of the women's tennis open in Bogotá. The next challenge for both tennis players will be to face the winners of the key between Astra Sharma (Australia) and Aldila Sutijiadi (Indonesia) vs. Irina Bara (Romania) and Ekaterine Gorgodze (Georgia) who will play this Thursday, April 7 at 12:45pm.
