After President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) presented at his morning press conference a bill for the purchase of an apartment allegedly made by journalist Carlos Loret de Mola, Internet users' reactions were swift, including former Mexican president Vicente Fox Quesada.

Through his official Twitter account, Fox Quesada called it a “shame” that the current federal president attacks and shows information about a Mexican citizen; in the message, the president from 2000 to 2006 described AMLO as an “envious, spiteful and lousy president.”

And on the morning of this Tuesday, April 7, President López Obrador showed the bill for an alleged purchase of an apartment for 24 million pesos that did the journalist in 2019, where the notary in charge was Ignacio Morales Lechuga, former head of the Attorney General's Office. In his morning, the Chief Executive also disseminated the plan of a 3.4-hectare plot located in Valle de Bravo, in the name of Loret de Mola.

The best thing is that I clarify how much you have because I have a bill for an apartment you bought in 2019, whose notary was a Salinist politician, Morales Lechuga. Do you know how much he paid in the 19th two years ago, three? 24 million pesos,” he said.

He added: “How much is an Infonavit department worth? 500 thousand pesos, because here we are talking about 48 (departments of Infonavit). That is, a complete housing unit was thrown away, 24 million and that if I have the proof to not say no, that one did reach me.”

Minutes after his statements, the communicator regretted through his Twitter account that President López Obrador continues to pursue journalists; in the message, he stated that revenge against him for reporting corruption by his family has escalated these days and “seems to have no limits.”

Like Vicente Fox, politicians and netizens rushed against the federal president for showing personal data during his morning conference.

Such was the case of Ignacio Morales Lechuga, who on his social network described it as an honor that clients like Carlos Loret trust him. In the tweet, he indicated that he cannot elaborate on the operation he carried out with the journalist, unlike the president, since he does respect the principle of professional secrecy, article 6 of the Constitution and the Regulatory Law on the Protection of Personal Data.

In another publication, he expressed the honor of having served the Government of the Republic as Attorney General and of having acceded by public examination of opposition to the 116 Notary of Mexico City since July 29, 1974.
