Huancayo reports that this Saturday drinking water service would be restricted throughout the city due to reprisals caused by the stoppage of carriers. This is how the company Sedam Huancayo warned in an urgent statement.
According to the company, a group of Protestants have taken the “Catchment 24″, located in the Chamicería annex, blocking the entry of raw water for the purification process in two treatment plants in Vilcacoto.

WORD OF THE CASTLE
The president of the republic, Pedro Castillo, spoke tonight about the protests in Huancayo that, on the fifth day of the national strike, they got out of control. This caused Huancaínos and members of the Peruvian National Police to clash in the center of the city, causing destruction and looting of homes and shops.

In his brief message, he called on the transport unions to dialogue and jointly find solutions to the problems faced by this sector of workers. He also indicated that there are urgent demands to be addressed, but that “it will be difficult to resolve them without the will for dialogue and purpose of amendment”.
“Brothers transporters, I pledge to seek solutions together for the benefit of all,” the president posted on social networks.

It is striking that the president has not elaborated on his message regarding the stoppage of carriers. According to the Peruvian Libre congressman, Waldemar Cerrón, this afternoon, the head of state would give some statements on the matter. Above all, because he had to give explanations about a phrase he said the day before, in which Castillo calls the demonstrators “paid leaders”. This generated the indignation of several striking carriers.
