The name of Yahaira Plasencia returned to the covers and not because of her recent nomination for the Heat Awards 2022, but for the accusations of labor abuse by Kimberly Pimentel, a former member of the Yahaira group and its Orchestra. The now soloist recalled on TikTok the terrible experience she had next to the salsa boat when they worked together in 2017.
“A lot of times the lady had some weird moods and you had to put up with it. And on stage, before one of the dancers came in, I thought about everything, that if I am very fat, that if I lost weight, that if I was wrong in a voice, or in a step, ” he said.

However, this controversy is not recent, since Kimberly Pimentel had already sat on a television set to tell the injustices she experienced as a vocalist and dancer for Yahaira and her Orchestra, a female group that launched the salsera, in 2017, after her controversial departure from Son Tentación.
On the set of Amor, Amor Amor, she had Yahaira withdrawn her from the orchestra because she and two other members had refused to sign a contract containing clauses that did not seem right to her, including paying a civil reparation of 30,000 soles in case of talking about her person. In the midst of this controversy, the national artist contacted the extinct program of Rodrigo González and Gigi Mitre to reply directly to Kimberly Pimentel. During the phone call, he admitted to losing patience with her, but he did so because the former member had very “spoiled” behavior towards her. In addition, he said that he did not throw her out of the group, since it was Pimentel who did not want to sign the contract.
“If someone doesn't want to work, then I say they withdraw it because they don't want to sign, I can't tie anyone up. I have had many mishaps with her and other girls who came out to talk (...) Just as she complains about me, I tell her she was spoiled, we've always had problems. Kimberly's there, looking for a job, I don't know why. She worked behind my back,” he said.
At another time, she said she was disappointed in her excorists because she had given them all her trust and they paid her poorly. “I think being very good has cost me quite a few things.
