These would be the options considered by the Football Federation to replace Reinaldo Rueda

After the failure of the Colombian team as they cannot even qualify for the repechage to reach Qatar 2022, the departure of Rueda is imminent, which is why they are looking for category technical directors to take the 'tricolor' back to a world championship event

Two days after the elimination of the Colombia national team, no official statement has been generated by the Federation, although it is known that President Ramón Jesurún is in Qatar to witness the draw for the groups that will participate in the World Cup.

But Reinaldo Rueda's continuity in the national team is a mystery, although the constant criticism made by journalists and fans in general of his process, in addition to his statements made after the victory in Puerto Ordaz against Venezuela led by Pékerman, more clearly denote the possible departure of triple R: “I think it's very clear that our contract was subject to World Cup qualification, is an evaluation that managers will have to make of the work we have done.”

Several names have sounded among the possible candidates to lead the Colombian national team, although this speculation has been going on almost since the end of last year, after the elimination comments have intensified that there is an imminent replacement for the failed Rueda process.

One of the most named is that of former Argentine player and coach Marcelo 'El loco' Bielsa, who in South American Qualifiers already led and qualified the Chilean national team in 2006, precisely in which the Colombian team led at that time by Reinaldo Rueda was eliminated.

Bielsa, who recently led Leeds in the Premier League, is a coach highly coveted by different teams and that the Federation has been following for a long time. Allegedly for Marcelo to manage the tricolor there would be a series of demands.

One of them is his generous salary, which he earned in England for almost 10 million dollars per season. Another request from 'Loco' Bielsa is that it not only be played in Barranquilla, but that the national team headquarters rotate as required by the rivals. If there is a team that comes from the Caribbean to play at high altitude or vice versa.

The last, but apparently the one that would generate discord for the Federation, is for Bielsa to make the calls as he sees fit and orders, that only he and his coaching staff have interference in calling the players who are at the best level to play the national team matches.

This is due to the fact that the national team has recently made its calls to players by name but not because of their football present, in addition to the fact that the calls have aroused a lot of suspicion due to the rumor that many players appear in the tricolor 'only to be sold'.

Another name that sounds for the replacement of Rueda is that of Tigre Gareca, who is currently leading the Peruvian national team and is waiting to play the repechage for Qatar 2022. Gareca ends its contract at the end of this year with the Peruvian Federation but is waiting for what may happen with a possible renewal or proposal of the 'tricolor'.

Another name that sounds is that of Mauricio Pochettino, current PSG coach, who due to his present that has not generated satisfaction in the Parisians could lose his position.

Finally there is Colombian coach Luis Fernando Suarez, who with the Costa Rican team he leads assured to play the repechage to go to Qatar 2022, possibly like Pochettino, Suarez could be a rumor or a name indicated only by the present that both coaches are having.
