Yeferson Cossio, a model and social media figure, is often the subject of criticism among those who consider him a bad example for the minors who follow him and those who question his content.
However, what few of his critics have wanted to see is the big heart that he has. In fact, it was for this reason that the Mayor's Office of Medellín invited him to participate in 'A heart tailored to you', a campaign to promote the responsible adoption of cats and dogs.
The 'adoption', as they called it on this day, took place in Parques del Río, where 'Yef' and his sister Cintia arrived to parade with the hundreds of pets who were waiting for a new family.
As expected, the influencers took a couple of animals to their homes.
The applause for participating in this initiative was not only taken by the Cossio brothers from the public, but also their followers on social networks congratulated them for helping to combat this problem.
It should be remembered that, in Medellín alone, 570 dogs and cats in vulnerable conditions have been rescued this year, mainly in Robledo, La Candelaria and Manrique. While in total, the city has 1,297 canines and 24 felines available for adoption.
In addition, according to the Mayor's Office, since last August, birth control days have been held in strata 1, 2 and 3, with which 22,000 animals have been sterilized. The brigades include registration and identification through the MICHIP system.
It should be remembered that the model and social media figure announced a couple of months ago that he will open his own shelter in Antioquia to fulfill one of his greatest dreams.
He also explained that, contrary to the vast majority of animal shelters, he is not going to ask for donations, nor will he give his animals for adoption or seek support from third parties, since he warns that he has worked for this and gained strong capital that will allow them to enjoy great stability, in a rather pleasant climate and with the love that he usually demonstrates to all their rescues.
About the progress of the project, Yeferson Cossio has not given any further details so far, although he recently published a mysterious video in which he gives a glimpse of what would be the construction of the shelter.
