The National Electoral Institute (INE) announced that, from this Saturday, March 26, citizens can already know the location of the corresponding box according to their official address so that they can go to vote in the Mandate Revocation consultation ; next April 10.
The electoral management body has enabled the website “Locate Your Casilla”, in which each voter will be able to know the official address of the box closest to their home so that they can participate in the participatory democracy exercise to which the president will submit Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), announced that he will advance the publication of the Ubica tu Casilla system to participate in the Mandate Revocation consultation on April 10.
The presiding councillor of the electoral body, Lorenzo Córdova Vianello, reported that citizens can now consult in the system the final location of the 57,516 polls that will be operating on April 10.
Steps to follow:
Although you do not yet have access to the website, the INE usually requests the same information in each electoral process to provide the exact location. As happened in the 2021 elections, every citizen will have to have his or her credential at hand to vote, since it contains all the required data:
- Login to the site Locate your box.
- Select the state where you live: the option may appear with the name of the state or the number that is assigned to you by the institute and that appears in the identification data; for example, Mexico City is 09.
- Finally, the number of the electoral section must be placed, which is on the voter's credential - it can be on the front or on the back, depending on which edition is available.

At the end of these steps, the page will load the data for a moment to later return the requested information, which usually includes the geographic location referred to with a geosatelite map.

Likewise, the National Electoral Institute detailed that since March 14, the lists of the District Councils were released, in order to make information transparent to citizens.
And, in addition to the above, the day to which the head of the Federal Executive will be submitted will have just over 57,500 squares, distributed between basic, contiguous and special.

Problems with voter credentials
A little more than a month after the election day for the popular consultation on the revocation of the President of the Republic's mandate, some citizens denounced alleged irregularities. Testimonies pointed to the alleged prohibition of persons with credentials issued by the National Electoral Institute (INE) to participate in the consultation.
A citizen consulted by Infobae Mexico said he was in such a situation. According to his testimony, he went to his office on 2 March to request correction of the address that appears in his document. The process happened normally, although when the date of March 18 was confirmed to collect his new credential, the person who received his documents warned him that he would not be able to participate in the exercise.
“When I was told that my INE was being handed over to me on March 18, they told me that I could not vote in the next elections, supposedly because they were already very close. At first I didn't remember when the votes were, but since I saw the date and that they are April 10, it seemed very strange to me,” he said.

Similarly, he was given a document notifying that he will not be able to participate in the 2021-2022 mandate revocation process. The note states that having carried out the updating procedure on the electoral roll outside the established dates, it will not be included in the Nominal List of Final Voters with a photograph that will be used in the Consultative Day of April 10, 2022.
“You are informed that the National Electoral Institute issued agreement INE/CG1646/2021 dated November 10, 2021, whereby, in compliance with the judgment handed down by the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation in file SUP-RAP-415/2021 (...) it is established that they may citizens who complete a procedure to obtain their Voting Credential until February 15, 2022 and who collect it no later than March 2, 2022″, the document reads.
A series of similar cases were documented by the Network of “People's Communicators”, a civil association created on the initiative of deputies and senators of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) with the aim of “promoting participatory democracy”, as stated by Deputy Claudia Yañez Centeno. The situation was disseminated in a statement.
