Axel Kicillof and Sergio Massa make efforts to sustain the unity of the All Front

The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, and the president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation, Sergio Massa, accelerated the dialogue since the vote in Deputies of the agreement with the Fund to this party. For Massa, one of the ways out of the political crisis is the institutionalization of the FdT: a political table that meets periodically with all the legs that make the ruling party, from there to settle differences and - already thinking about 2023 - to work on the construction of candidatures. The national deputy believes that the one who should sit at the head of that table in Buenos Aires is Kicillof.

It is that despite the dissent and vote against the agreement with IMF, the alliance between Massa and Máximo K is still standing. As for Kicillof, from La Plata they explain that his relationship with the leader of La Campora has moments, but that in general it is good and that the governor will not get into a fight. Even in some meetings held by the provincial president with the vice-president, the president of the Buenos Aires PJ also participates. They consider themselves peers and Cristina Kirchner's only son is Máximo.

In the Buenos Aires governorate they seek to speed up management and show tangible results, although they know that there are certain springs that because they are a provincial state they cannot control. The lack of resources in the province of Buenos Aires is the main obstacle to the machinery that Kicillof would like to have more active. Neither does inflation. There was a request for greater funding from the national government that with the agreement signed with the IMF appears far on the horizon. Knowing the logic of Buenos Aires, Massa also acknowledges that the Province lacks partnership points.

Despite maintaining loyalty to Cristina Kirchner and acting as a “consultant” on economic issues, he also balances with the figure of Alberto Fernández. They were together at the inauguration of the works at the Tortuguitas station of the Belgrano Norte railway line, in the Buenos Aires municipality of Malvinas Argentinas.

“We have to work jointly between Nation, Province and municipalities. We are going to continue to do so because that is what makes us firstly more effective, faster, a way to reach all places and at the same time makes us invincible”, asked Kicillof in a gesture of unity within the All Front.

There is also a view that responds more to the survival behind the work to sustain the unity that Massa and Kicillof seek to carry forward, and that is the electoral political weight that the province of Buenos Aires has. There, Cristina is the main elector in the populous district of Buenos Aires. Everyone knows that: the president, the governor, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, the leader of La Campora and the mayors.

But the Province is also the leadership platform that Massa and the Renovator Front have. Now, with a full presence in the Buenos Aires cabinet under the control of the Ministry of Transport in charge of Jorge D'Onofrio. A full outbreak of the governing coalition that impacts the Province moves the whole scaffolding of Peronism and further complicates the plans for 2023.
