Despite criticism for his management, especially with regard to the management of women's football, the work with the lower divisions of the national teams and the fact that the coffee team is on the verge of running out of quota towards the world cup, Ramón Jesurún was ratified as the president of the Colombian Football Federation (FCF), as was the the rest of the executive committee.
Specifically in the committee were re-elected the president of La Dimayor, Fernando Jaramillo and the president of Difútbol, Álvaro González, as well as members Juan Fernando Mejía, Luis Gabriel Miranda and Elkin Arce. According to the FCF, from 2019 to 2022 “members were provided for their economic well-being with contributions of 67 billion pesos, which contributed to the development of football in the country. With regard to financial issues, the financial statements for the financial year 2021 were presented, whose management was recognized by the Assembly and approved unanimously. Similarly, the budget for 2022 was unanimously approved.”
Carlo El Pibe Valderrama, one of the emblematic players in the history of national football, argued that just as football players are required to perform, the same must be done with the FCF leadership, questioned, among others, by the work carried out in the lower categories. It is not a secret to anyone that you don't have a good litter of young people with projection, as it did exist years ago under the baton of Eduardo Lara: some of them, for example, participated in the selection that qualified for Brazil 2014.
