Madrid, 18 Mar The British rock band Muse today released the song “Compliance”, a single with electronic sound featuring the use of synthesizers, as a preview of their upcoming album “Will of the people”, which will be released on August 26. The release of “Compliance” was accompanied by the premiere of their video clip, which featured three children wearing masks (reminiscent of the faces of the group's members) who destroy their “I” of the future in order to escape a chaotic and violent world. According to the Warner Music label in a statement, the video is directed by Jeremi Durand, who said that when it came to setting the plot of the clip he was inspired by the 2012 film “Looper”, whose plot also revolves around murders over time. On the theme of the song, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy comments: “This topic is about submission to authoritarian rules and reassuring falsehoods to be accepted into a group.” This preview is the second of the English's ninth album, “Will of the People”, which is scheduled to be released in the final stretch of this year and from which they already released another song in January, “Won't Stand Down”. Both songs will belong to what will be the successor of his last album to date, “Simulation Theory”, released in 2018.
