This Monday, March 14, Miss Peru La Pre 2022 officially presented its winners at a ceremony held at the Pullman Hotel in San Isidro. Kyara Villanella, Alondra Huarac, Gaela Barraza and Mia Loveday were the lucky winners of the contest, although the critics were not they kept waiting after the results. What did Jessica Newton say about it?
As is known, since the former beauty queen announced that Keiko Fujimori's daughters, 'Tomate' Barraza and Nilver Huarac became the winners, users have not stopped lashing out at the organization for alleged preferences towards the “daughters of celebrities”. One candidate even assured on social networks that everything was “fixed”.
During the press conference, a Magaly Medina reporter did not hesitate to ask Newton whether the participation and subsequent victory of the three teenagers was a strategy to attract the attention of the press, as Miss Peru La Pre has not stopped being on everyone's lips since the controversial final.
“What will my daughter Miranda say when she shows up (to the contest)? My God, I don't know the parents of any of them, except your dad ('Tomate' Barraza) who saw him at some point when we crossed paths in Latina. I think they are very brave because they have not entered because they are nobody's daughters, but because they themselves wanted to fulfill their dreams,” explained the organizer of Miss Peru.
JESSICA NEWTON LOST HER PATIENCE
Not happy with the answer, the Magaly TV reporter La Firme again insisted on the issue of the alleged preferences towards the daughters of media characters, since the candidates' parents did not agree with the final results.
“The girls who have been to the academy, almost 140 girls, have paid a registration fee. Parents have paid 350 dollars, if I'm not mistaken...” , said the man of the press before the eyes of an uncomfortable Jessica Newton.
“Mónica (Chacon) is in charge of the academy, we have an alliance. Honestly, it is very uncomfortable that at this moment, when they have their first presentation, we have such comments. If you wait for the girls to retire, I don't have a problem. I don't think it's necessary for them to be listening to this kind of thing,” said former Miss Peru.
The ATV reporter had no choice but to apologize to the teenage girls, congratulate them on their victory and leave the scene. It should be noted that in the last edition of Magaly TV La Firme, this awkward moment was not broadcast.
MAGALY MEDINA DISAGREES WITH THE RESULTS
Magaly Medina was no stranger to the complaints of the candidates for the Miss Peru La Pre contest, who indicated that there was an alleged favoritism for the daughters of famous parents. The 'Magpie' considered that the surname should not influence the results, with clear reference to the winners: Kyara Villanella, Alondra Huarac and Gaela Barraza.
“Kyara Villanella just came in, what preparation can she have? Very little, and I think there are girls, who were already preparing for a long time in advance. Because commercially and in the media it suits you, to have famous surnames, children of acquaintances, you already know that Newton loves to bond with such people,” said Magaly Medina at first.
The presenter also said that the favorite of the beauty contest was clearly Kyara Villanella, daughter of Keiko Fujimori. “Last time I heard a girl, her mother said that the favorite is floozy. That's right, that favorite won. Others felt that I was not skilled enough, capable, talented... but I shouldn't play your surname to favor the organization that runs these contests,” he said.
