The Sochi 2014 Olympic licensing program set multiple records last year.
Sochi 2014 has sold over five million mugs and magnets, which if all grouped together would weigh as much as the Olympic cauldron at Fisht Stadium, according to a release.
Additionally, 960 thousand Sochi mascot stuffed animals have been sold.
Sochi-branded marmalade candy has also been a hit and, according to the organizing committee, if you lined up each piece of candy sold, it would stretch 220 km.
Russia Appeals to Citizens
Russian investigators have appealed to citizens to be aware of the threat of terrorist attacks in the North Caucasus region.
"You can't just count on the special services and heroic commandos," Vladimir Markin, spokesman for Russia's national investigative committee, told Russian newspaper Izviesta.
Markin did not directly reference the upcoming Olympics in his comments, but the Games remain Russia’s largest upcoming security concern.
"If our citizens are not ready to be vigilant, the intelligence services and - even more so - the investigators can only ... face the tragic consequences."
Despite investigative work being done, Markin went on to say citizen help was vital in the aftermath of the Volgograd bombings.
"In my view, this is the only way, simultaneously from the top and bottom ... to control channels of illegal trafficking and terrorism."
IPC Provides Record Online Coverage
The International Paralympic Committee will broadcast over 300 hours of live 2014 Paralympics coverage on its website.
The IPC will stream the Opening and Closing Ceremonies live, in addition to providing different channels to watch live uninterrupted streams of alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ice sledge hockey, and wheelchair curling.
A fifth channel will broadcast a mix of the four different sports with English commentary.
Each day, the IPC will provide a roundup of the day’s events on the IPC’s YouTube channel, as well as providing highlights packages from each sport.
"Our aim at Sochi 2014 is to cover the Games and all sports from every single angle with a mixture of live action, live results, and in-depth previews and reports," IPC director of communications Craig Spence said in a statement.
"It will be our most comprehensive coverage of a Paralympic Winter Games to date."
The IPC will also provide bios of every athlete participating in the Sochi Paralympics, as well as daily features on their website.
