Dakar, 28 june 2013 - The former Cameroonian goalkeeper Joseph Antoine Bell, was inducted on Wednesday, June 26th to the Africa Sports Hall of Fame in Dakar, Senegal.

The special ceremony was organised almost two months after the seventh edition the Africa International Sports Convention, held from 3 to 5 May 2013 in Dakar, Senegal as M. Bell was not able to attend due to other commitment. The ceremony was attended by an audience of sports people, journalists, Ambassadors from Cameroon Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire and many others.

In his opening speech, the event organiser Diamil Faye, President & CEO of JAPPO Sports & Entertainment insisted on the bridge to be built between the younger generation and their predecessors and the necessity to immortalize athletes who made the whole continent proud through their career.

Certainly one the best Goalkeepers in the world, Joseph Antoine Bell now a Consultant for France 24 and RFI (the International French Radio), has played for many years in top French Football Teams including Marseilles and Bordeaux. In his speech, Joseph Antoine Bell thanks the organisers and called, with a great sense of humour, African Sports leaders for a better management of Football and sport in general throughout the continent to create the conditions to inspire more young people and develop sport. The Hall of Fame Sports Africa was created at the initiative of the Senegalese company JAPPO Sports & Entertainment (JSE) specialized in sports consulting and the organization of sport events. JSE is also the initiator of the Africa International Sports Convention (CISA) , a unique platform for networking in Africa.
