
(ATR)Broadcasters preparing to cover the 2018 Winter Olympics are previewing PyeonChang'sbroadcasting production plan this week at the city'sAlpensia Resort.
TheWorld Broadcasters Briefing,co-hosted by PyeongChang 2018 and the Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS),began on March 9 and precedes the World Broadcasters Meetings set for 2016 and 2017.
The list over 63 participants at the briefing includesYiannis Exarchos, CEO of OBS, and representatives from nine Olympic Rights Holding Broadcasters such as U.S.-based NBC, UK-based BBC, and China's CCTV.
Participants will have the opportunity to preview plans for the International Broadcasting Center and tour broadcasting facilities in the competition venues under construction for the 2018 Games.
POCOG says it will also brief broadcasters on "all the functional areas and their technical capabilities."
The OBS, according to POCOG, conducted a venue survey earlier this month on all venues inPyeongChang, Gangneung and Jeongseon in order to determine the broadcasting production plan for 2018.
