On the afternoon of Wednesday 20 and the morning of Thursday, April 21, the bodies three men were found in different parts of Capácuaro, Michoacán, where they were gunned down and subsequently burned.

The first two bodies were found on the 20th next to the municipal garbage dump located on the Capácuaro-Quinceo highway, both of which had been reported missing since last Sunday the 17th.

The other was found alone on the side of the Uruapan-Paracho highway while it was still burning in flames, as it was consumed by fire before the uniformed men arrived at the place.

The first two bodies correspond to two young people reported missing in previous days, who were found by passers-by who were on a site known as El Condembo, so they alerted the local security forces.

After being notified of the incident, personnel from the Attorney General's Office of the State of Michoacán (FGE) moved to the scene to deal with the incident, as the agency transferred the Specialized Crime Scene Unit to the site.

The agents collected evidence and lifted the body to transfer it to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) in the city of Uruapan, where the relevant studies will be carried out, as they had injuries caused by firearms.

On the other hand, in the early hours of this Thursday, 21, the third body was discovered by motorists who were transporting on roads, who noticed that the body was still on fire.

This case was dealt with by municipal police, who quickly went to the scene to extinguish the fire that consumed the third victim, who had visible gunshot wounds.

The authorities have not testified about the case, but it is presumed that the crimes committed against the three young people have relevance to each other, in addition to the presumption of conflict with members of organized crime.

On the same day that two of the bodies were found, federal authorities mobilized some 350 security elements to three municipalities in Michoacán, who will work in concert with the uniformed personnel already present in the state.

The mobilization of the elements of the Mexican Army and the National Guard took place in the context of the constant violence present in various parts of the entity due to disputes over the control of territory, which, in addition to generating victims of various illicits, also provokes the forced displacement of inhabitants of small populations.

On Sunday, April 17, there was a persecution by armed civilians against alleged rivals in the municipality of Coahuayana in Michoacán, which resulted in the killing of four alleged criminals.

According to information from local media, local authorities received a report early in the morning of that day of a white sedan vehicle that had entered the town of San Juan Alima at high speed, who were allegedly being pursued by armed men.

Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed men noticed the presence of the vehicle with bullet impacts, inside which were four gunned men, who had lost their lives there, while a woman was thrown from the unit metres earlier and was able to escape alive.

FGE personnel went to the site to carry out the investigations pertaining to the case, by which they were able to find a firearm and three grenades, and therefore requested the presence of Sedena personnel.
