Diego Camargo, who was the Colombian revelation cyclist for 2020 after winning the Vuelta de la Juventud and the Vuelta a Colombia, arrived at the EF Education EasyPost squad in 2021 with the intention of gaining experience and seeking to exploit his talent on the bike in a great way, being a rider who achieves good results in the against the clock and in the mountains. Given his conditions, it is thought that he could fight big competitions in the future.

During 2021 he won the trust of his team and, just in his first season as a professional, he was taken to the Vuelta España, the third major three-week race on the cycling calendar, in which he finished 53rd overall and 12th in the youth standings; he is barely 23 years old.

Both Colombians will be key pieces for the team in the Corsa Rosa, which will start on May 6 and will go until the 29th of the same month. It is worth remembering that Esteban Chaves will debut this season with the North American team and will do so by taking the game in the first big round of the year and where he has had important results in the past achieving 2nd place in 2016.

This time, with renewed spirit and a good level of competition, he hopes to be able to repeat his best performances in Italy, first in the Alps Tour, where he will not have Diego Camargo, and then he will finish preparing what will be his 5th participation in the Giro d'Italia in which he already has 3 stage victories.
