They didn't have a happy ending, but they're friends. Gisela Valcárcel and Roberto Martinez were married in June 1995 in a wedding that was televised. However, after three years, the relationship they had fell apart and they decided to announce their breakup. The reasons? The same 'Señito' revealed that the former footballer had been unfaithful to him with model Viviana Rivasplata.
Although it has been many years since this marriage broke up, many do not remember how their love story began. The former captain of Universitario de Deportes once said that they met because of a social work, as Martínez fulfilled the dream of a girl who wanted to meet the television host.
It all starts when the former footballer receives an emergency call from the Neoplastics Hospital, where his mother was hospitalized due to cancer. She had gotten sick and he came to see her, but when he arrived he felt so sad that he decided to go out into the hallways to break into tears.
In the midst of his grief, a girl who was passing by, comforted him and told him not to cry, because in three days she was going to have her leg amputated. Realizing that the little girl was having a harder time than him, he asked her what her dream was. She answered that meeting Gisela Valcárcel and that's how they contacted each other.
“When I arrived and saw my mother so sick, I preferred to leave the room, and I went to cry in the passage. There I met a girl who asked me not to cry, and she told me that in three days she was going to have her leg amputated. At that moment I understood that my suffering was little compared to that girl's. I asked him what he needed, what could make him happy: he told me he wanted to meet Gisela,” he said.
From that moment on, the friendship between Roberto Martínez and Gisela Valcárcel was born, falling in love and later getting married, but as is public knowledge, their marriage did not last for a lifetime as many would have liked.
WHAT WERE THE REASONS FOR THEIR SEPARATION?
The marriage of Gisela Valcárcel and Roberto Martínez lasted only three years and their separation occurred amid a scandal of infidelity on the part of the former footballer, as' Señito 'herself revealed that she threw him out of the shared house when she discovered that he was dating model Viviana Rivasplata.
Years later, the same former captain of Universitario de Deportes revealed that this information was totally true and that he was sorry for the way in which his relationship with the television host ended.
Likewise, Ethel Pozo's mother pointed out that her then-husband's infidelity was one of the greatest pains she felt at that time in her life, since they had suffered the loss of a baby years ago.
